Key advantage: gel + citrate

Combination of separation gel and sodium citrate ensures obtaining maximally clean plasma with preservation of residual cellular elements viability, providing additional therapeutic effect.

Key characteristics

Final product Cell-poor plasma
Tube material Medical glass
Anticoagulant Sodium citrate
Separation gel Yes
Blood draw volume 10 ml
PPP 10 ml Tube

How it works

Unique combination of sodium citrate and separation gel ensures obtaining clean injectable plasma with maximum preservation of its biological properties.

Anticoagulant role

Sodium citrate provides reliable anticoagulation by binding calcium ions (Ca2+) — key cofactor of coagulation cascade. This is "gentle" anticoagulant optimally suited for plasma therapy.

Separation gel role

Separation gel — main technological feature of this tube. This is biologically inert olefin polymer (thixotropic gel), specific gravity of which precisely selected between specific gravity of plasma and blood formed elements.

Material role

Glass tube body made of medical borosilicate glass, providing optimal conditions for preserving blood components.

Preserves cell viability — platelets and leukocytes retain functional activity
Doesn't affect protein composition — albumins, globulins, growth factors remain unchanged
Acts reversibly — anticoagulant effect neutralized upon tissue contact
Clear fraction separation — accidental mixing impossible
Protection from contamination — metabolic products don't enter plasma
Increased plasma yield — maximum product without risk of capturing cellular layer
Sample stability — plasma stable up to 48 hours after centrifugation

What you will get

Final product characteristics

Light yellow or straw-colored liquid plasma. Approximately 4–5 ml from 10 ml of blood. Stable for up to 48 hours.

Biological activity

Plasma contains wide range of biologically active components:

Cell content: Minimal (cell-poor plasma — Cell-Poor Plasma)
Albumins — nutrient transport, osmotic pressure support
Globulins — immune factors, transport proteins
Growth factors (baseline level) — cellular regeneration stimulation
Vitamins and trace elements — tissue nutrition
Hormones — metabolic process regulation

Usage time

Recommended to use plasma within 10-30 minutes after obtaining for maximum effectiveness. Thanks to separation gel, sample remains stable significantly longer.

Clinical application

Plasma therapy tube with sodium citrate and separation gel intended for wide range of medical and aesthetic procedures.

Direction Indications
Aesthetic medicine Face, neck and décolleté skin biorevitalization; improvement of hydration and skin turgor; preparation for other cosmetic procedures; recovery after aggressive procedures (peels, laser)
Trichology Hair follicle trophism improvement, hair loss prevention, alopecia adjuvant therapy
Surgery Wound healing stimulation, tissue trophism improvement in peripheral circulation disorders, wound bed preparation
Gynecology External genital revitalization, age-related mucosal atrophy treatment
Dentistry Oral mucosa recovery stimulation
Sports medicine Muscle vascularization and trophism improvement, recovery acceleration
Regenerative medicine Combination with cellular technologies, tissue preparation for transplantation

Best suited for

Skin biorevitalization and hydration procedures, cases when clean plasma needed without high platelet concentration, complex anti-age programs as basic component, tissue preparation before other procedures.

Why choose this tube

Separation gel

Plasma purity and work convenience guarantee. Gel forms stable barrier between plasma and cellular mass.

Increased plasma yield

Maximum product from each blood draw. Approximately 4-5 ml clean plasma from 10 ml blood.

Sodium citrate

Residual cell viability preservation for additional therapeutic effect.

Larger 10 ml volume

18% more plasma compared to 8.5 ml tubes. More material for large area treatment.

Sample stability

Up to 48 hours without quality change thanks to separation gel.

Versatility

Suitable for wide range of plasma therapy and biorevitalization procedures.

Recommended protocol

Protocol compliance ensures obtaining highest quality plasma with maximum therapeutic potential.

1

Preparation

Check package integrity and expiration date. Make sure gel located at tube bottom. Prepare necessary equipment: blood collection needle, holder, centrifuge, syringes.

2

Blood draw

Perform venipuncture using standard technique. Wait for complete tube filling (10 ml). After filling, carefully invert tube 5-6 times to mix with anticoagulant.

3

Centrifugation

Install tube in centrifuge vertically. Balance rotor (for odd number use water counterweight). Centrifuge at standard speed for 5-10 minutes. After centrifugation gel forms clear barrier between plasma and cells.

4

Obtaining plasma

Carefully remove tube without tilting or shaking. Gel reliably holds cellular mass — mixing risk minimal. Using syringe with needle, draw plasma above gel barrier. Expected volume: 4-5 ml clean plasma.

5

Application

Administer plasma within 10-30 minutes after obtaining. Follow injection technique for selected area (papular, linear, bolus).

Important

Important: don't shake too vigorously to avoid foaming gel.

Why do therapeutic tubes cost more than laboratory tubes?

MM Medic tubes are class IIa medical devices certified for therapeutic use. Laboratory tubes (IVD) are intended exclusively for testing and disposal, not for introduction into the human body.

Contents

Safe anticoagulants (citrate, heparinate) or no additives (PRF)—formulated for therapeutic use. Laboratory tubes contain EDTA, which irreversibly destroys platelets.

Material

Medical borosilicate glass or special medical-grade PET—selected for the specific therapeutic protocol. Laboratory tubes are not designed for contact between their contents and the patient's tissues.

Certification

ISO 13485:2016, safety class IIa, gamma sterilization, individual sterile packaging. Laboratory tubes carry only an IVD marking.

Note

The cost difference compared to laboratory tubes is 50–80 UAH—less than 2% of the procedure cost (2,500–5,000 UAH). Using uncertified tubes for injections violates the law and puts the patient's health at risk. Learn more in the FAQ

Important warnings

Single use only. Reuse prohibited.

For autologous use only — plasma administered exclusively to patient from whose blood it was obtained.
Prohibited to use with damaged packaging, visible gel damage or after expiration date.
Don't invert tube after centrifugation — this may disrupt gel barrier integrity.
